Glassblowing Team Hails from the Steel City
Drew and Jeannine are a husband and wife glassblowing team from Pittsburgh, PA. Their specialty and passion lies in holiday décor, especially the fall season. Drew is a graduate of the glass program at CCS in Detroit, MI, and Jeannine, a former chef, was his Glass 1 student in Pittsburgh in 2004. They hand built their equipment and opened up in 2006 in Pittsburgh’s Southside where they run a busy production studio. In October 2007, they made their very first batch of glass pumpkins as favors for guests at their Vermont wedding and never looked back! “We just love the fall, the crisp air, everything about it! We even grow our own pumpkins to carve! Why not do something and surround yourself with something you love?” Shaker Woods boasts one of their biggest fall displays and features pumpkins, gourds, leaves, and acorns of all shapes and sizes. They will also showcase holiday ornaments, suncatchers, tumblers, and a sneak peek at Christmas with glass candy canes and snowmen. You can visit them at booth #92, near the Information Center.
